Who is CRC?
Did you know that Mr Attilio Briffa has been the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Creative Refurbishing Centre (Malta) Ltd. since 1991? That’s over 30 years of experience!
Back in the early 90s, he single-handedly founded and managed successfully CRC (Malta) Ltd. Apart from becoming a leader in the market of importation & distribution of shelving, refrigeration equipment, offices and various other shop fittings, he also managed to branch out to the domestic market, offering locally-produced custom-made furniture products and apertures
As a company, their culture and mindset are set to dedicate extensive time and resources in the hunt for the perfect products for their clients. As a result, the company has branched out into multiple areas. As a matter of fact, CRC (Malta) Ltd. works with several suppliers from all over the globe, all while participating in international fares on an annual basis.
How did Luke Desira Help CRC?
Luke was called in to aid CRC (Malta) Ltd. in gaining ISO 9001 certification. Truth be told, Luke had a bit of a hard time understanding the operations of the company, given their extensive branches and areas of operation. But Luke Desira took this as a challenge.
One of the first things he did was help the management identify the value that each employee was giving to the company. You see, sometimes it’s not the quantity of employees that counts, but rather the quality of their work. Although this was a sensitive topic, it had to be done. Luke taught the management how to review employee performance and make decisions based on data and facts.
Additionally, Luke also used ISO 9001 to help the management incorporate a great onboarding process for employees, especially salespeople. By creating checklists, the management could see what to include in onboarding training for each type of employee, and understand what type of questions are to be asked.
The management system was also designed to help the company identify criteria and questions to ask clients during the sales stage to ensure that all required information is obtained. Such information is imperative to be correct and factual the first time round to ensure a smooth sales process and great customer experience.
Luke Desira’s job also included helping the management extract useful sales reports from already existing software. That way, no big changes were implemented, but small ones that proved to be very beneficial.
Luke’s main goal was to provide strategic assistance and empathy to reduce some of the pressure that a business owner has. This is something which is sadly increasingly becoming an issue.
